A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS CONSENTING TO THE INSTALLATION OF FENCING
WITHIN THE COMMON OPEN SPACE AREAS OF SPECIFIC PLAN
NO. 60.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands ("this City Council")
approved Specific Plan No. 60 on September 5, 2006; and
WHEREAS, Specific Plan No. 60, Section II(E)(I 0) requires the City of Redlands
to give consent to the construction of interior fencing in common areas; and
WHEREAS, the construction of a four-foot high wrought iron fence does not
compromise the open appearance of the common areas; and
WHEREAS, on January 12, 2010,the Planning Commission recommended that
this City Council adopt a Notice of Exemption and consent to the installation of fencing
within the common open space areas of Specific Plan No. 60;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Redlands as follows:
Section 1. This project is Categorically Exempt pursuant to Section 15303 of the
California Environmental Quality Act(CEQA)Guidelines. Section 15303 pertains to the
construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures such as
fences.
Section 2. Pursuant to Specific Pian No. 60, Section II(E)(10),the City hereby
consents to the installation of a four-foot high wrought iron fence in the common open
space areas of Specific Plan No. 60. This consent does not obviate the requirement for
applicants to obtain necessary building permits and pay the required fees pursuant to the
California Building Code, as adopted, nor relieve the applicants of any other obligation
under the law.
