HomeMy WebLinkAbout2595_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 2595 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADOPTING PRECISE (SPECIFIC) STREET PLAN NO. 7 WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has pre- pared an amendment to the Precise Street Plan and adopted such amend- ment in Resolution No. 275 after holding a public hearing upon notice in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS Resolution No. 275, a copy of which is attached hereto, has been certified to the City Council of the City of Redlands ; and WHEREAS on the 21st day of Aj2ril , 1967, notice of Public Hear- ing was published in the Redlands Daily Facts; and WHEREAS on this 2nd day of May , 1967, the City Council has held a duly advertised public hearing concerned with the proposed amend- ment to said Precise Street Plans and WHEREAS all of the provisions of the Government Code relating to the amendment of a precise plan have been complied with NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands; That amendment to the Precise Street Plan adopted by the Planning Commission in Resolution No. 275 shall be adopted as follows : PRECISE (SPECIFIC) STREET PLAN NO. 7 1. Provide for the vacation of a portion of Third Street, Fourth Street and West State Street . 2. Provide for a pedestrian right-of-way and a pedestrian ease- ment on West State Street between Third Street and Fourth Street. 3 . Provide for additional alley dedication within project bound- ary. NO. 275 %t{ ✓�/4 I�YG''� .5�f's" RESOLUTION FOR ADOPTION OF PRECISE (SPECIFIC) STREET PLAN NO. 7 ov H E R E A S on the 114th day of April, 1967, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands held a duly advertised public hearing, said notice published on the 31st day of March, 1967, in the Redlands Daily Facts, and finds. 1. That it is deemed advisable and in the interest of public health, safety, and general welfare to provide for the development of Phase I of the Town Square project through the dedication and vacation of certain streets and alleys, the provision of a pedestrian mall and pedestrian easements within the area generally bounded by Third Street, Redlands Boulevard, Fourth Street, and West State Street. The Town Square project is a logical step in the implementation of a Central City Development Plan prepared by Victor Gruen Associates for the City of Redlands in 1964. 2. The Precise (specific) Street Plan is as follows a. Provides for the vacation of a portion of Third Street, Fourth Street and West State Street. b. Provides for a pedestrian right-.of-way and a pedestrian easement on West State Street between Third Street and Fourth Street. c. Provides for additional, alley dedication within project boundary. O W, T H E R E F O R E, BE I T R E S O L V E D: A. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 65500 through Section 65502 of the Government Code, the Planning Commission hereby adopts on this 11th day of April, 1967, Precise ( Specific) Street Plan No. 7 as shown on map attached hereto and made a part hereof. B. That the Planning Coma ission hereby recommends to the City Council of the City of Redlands that, following the required public hearing, the Council approve and adopt Precise (Specific) Street Plan No. 7 . C. That a certified copy of this resolution and related Material, hereby adopted by said Commission, shall be transmitted to the City Council.
