HomeMy WebLinkAbout2606_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 2606 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADOPTING PRECISE (SPECIFIC) STREET PLAN NO. 8 WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has pre- pared an amendment to the Precise Street Plan and adopted such amend- ment in Resolution No. 276 after holding a public hearing upon notice in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS Resolution No. 276, a copy of which is attached hereto, has been certified to the City Council of the City of Redlands ; and WHEREAS on the 9th day of June 0 1967, notice of Public Hear- ing was published in the Redlands Daily Facts; and WHEREAS on this 20th ' day of June , 1967, the City Council has held a duly advertised public hearing concerned with the proposed amend- ment to said Precise Street Plan; and WHEREAS all of the provisions of the Government Code relating to the amendment of a precise plan have been complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands: That amendment to the Precise Street Plan adopted by the Planning Commission in Resolution No. 276 shall be adopted as follows: PRECISE (SPECIFIC) STREET PLAN NO. 8 1. Which plan provides for a front setback of not less than twenty-five (25) feet, measured from the existing dedicated right-of-way, along the following streets: a. Brookside Avenue between Eureka Street and Ash Street. b. West Olive Avenue between Fourth Street and Center Street. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th _ day of June 1967 . NO. 276 RESOLUTION FOR ADOPTION OF PRECISE (SPECIFIC) STREET PLAN NO. 8 W H E R E A a on the 23rd day of May, 1967, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands held a duly advertised public hearing, said notice published on the 12th day of May, 1967, in the Redlands Daily Facts, and finds: 1. That in order to maintain the present esthetic quality of certain major streets in Redlands, it is deemed necessary and in the interest of the general welfare to establish a minimum building setback for portions of Brookside Avenue and West Olive Avenue. 2. That studies conducted by the planning department show that the existing average building setback for each block along Brookside Avenue between Eureka Street and Ash Street is not les: than 24.5 feet nor more than 36.0 feet. The average building setback for the defined portion of said street is currently 30.8 feet. 3. That these same studies show that the existing average building setback for each block along West Olive Avenue between Fourth Street and Center Street is not less than 22.0 feet nor more than 40.6 feet. The average building setback for the defined portion of said street is currently 32.1 feet. N 0 W, T :i E R E F 0 R E, B E I T R E S 0 L V E D: A. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 65500 through Section 65502 of the Government Code, the Planning Commission hereby adopts on this 23rd day of May, 1967, Precise (Specific) Street Plan No. 8: ��hich plan provides for a front setback of not less than twenty-five (25) feet, measured from the existing dedicated right-of-way, along the following streets. a. Brookside Avenue between Eureka Street and Ash Street. b. West Olive Avenue between Fourth Street and Center Street. B. That the Planning Commission hereby recommends to the City Council of the City of Redlands that, following the required public hearing, the Council approve and adopt Precise (Specific) Street Plan No. 8. C. That a certified copy of this resolution hereby adoptod by said commission shall be transmitted to the City Council.
