HomeMy WebLinkAbout8702A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO TITLE 10 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, pursuant to studies made under the authority of Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code, and the presentation of information contained in such studies, the City Council of the City of Redlands has determined that certain traffic regulations are necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare and should be established pursuant to Title 10 of the Redlands Municipal Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. This City Council determines that approval of this Resolution is exempt from review under California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15301(c) which exempts minor street alterations that involve negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. This City Council finds with certainty that there is no possibility the approval of this Resolution will have a significant effect on the environment. Section 2. Pursuant to section 10.40.090 of the Redlands Municipal Code, the City Council hereby establishes the following parking restrictions adjacent to Sylvan Park, as shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto: a) No parking on: o The cast side of Chapel Street between Colton Avenue and 600 feet south of Colton Avenue; o The east and west sides of Division Street between Park Avenue and Sylvan Blvd; - o The north and south sides of Park Avenue between Division Street and University Street; b) No parking between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM on: o The west side of University Street between Park Avenue and Colton Avenue; o The south side of Colton Avenue between Chapel Street and University Street; o The south side of High Avenue between Division Street and Chapel Street; o The west side of Chapel Street between High Avenue and the alley between Stillman Avenue and High Avenue. Section 3. City staff is hereby directed to take all necessary actions to install signage and/or curb markings to implement this Resolution.
