RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS CONCERNING FREEWAY RE-
LOCATION OF STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE 190.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS:
WHEREAS, the California State Division of Highways has developed oomprehen-
sive engineering and traffic studies for possible freeway route for State Highway
Route 1.901 between State Street near the gest city :Limits of`San Bernardino and
Route 26 at Tennessee Street in the City of Redlands; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has received a letter from the Division of High-
ways, signed by District Engineer, C. V. Kane, and dated April 26, 1963, which
transmitted a notice of intention enacted by the California Highway Commission on
April 24, 1963, giving notice of intention to establish a freeway routing as indi-
cated on the may attached to said resolution, a copy of said map being attached
herstof and,
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways has conducted a public hearing in San
Bernardino, January 25, 1963, regarding possible routings for State Highway Route
190 and compiled and presented a public record to the California Highway Commis-
sion of the information and comments presented by publio officials and interested
sitieens at said public hearings and
WIMMAS, early planning and construction of this freeway in essential to
promote the soonamiie welfare of the area; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Redlands urges the early
adoption of the freeway relocation of State Highway Route 1.90 as sham on the
attached maps be it further
EMLVED, that the City Council considers further hearings by the California
Highway Commission relative to the relocation of Rout* 190 in Redlands to be unaeoessary.
