HomeMy WebLinkAbout4287_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4287 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS APPROVING THE APPLICATION TO THE STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD FOR FUNDING OF WELL-HEAD TREATMENT FACILITIES UTILIZING THE STATE AGRICULTURAL DRAINAGE WATER MANAGEMENT LOAN PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Agricultural Drainage Water Management Loan Program (AB 1982) was authorized in February 1986 under the Water Conservation and Water Quality Bond Law of 1986. The program provides low-interest loans to local agencies for the design and construction of agricultural drainage facilities. WHEREAS, DBCP groundwater contamination is related to past agricultural practices, the design and construction of well-head treatment facilities is eligible for funding under the Program. The proposed project is Well 31A activated carbon facilities required to remove DBCP. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands that: 1. Pursuant and subject to all of the terms and pro- visions of the Water Conservation and Water Quality Bond Law of 1986 and all amendments thereto, application by the City of Redlands be made to the State Water Resources Control Board for funding of an agricultural drainage water management project. 2 . The Municipal Utilities Director of the City of Redlands is hereby authorized and directed to cause the necessary data to be prepared and investigations to be made in the name of the City of Redlands and to sign and file such application with the State Water Resources Control Board.
