A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DESIGNATING THE CITY ENGINEER AS THE LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE
PERSON FOR THE PURPOSE OF COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS
OF THE GENERAL STORM WATER PERMIT AND AUTHORIZING THE
SAME TO SIGN ON THE BEHALF OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ALL
DOCUMENTS AND ITEMS RELATING TO THE GENERAL STORM
WATER PERMIT
WHEREAS, only a Legally Responsible Person (LRP) is able to submit Notices of Intent
(NOis), Notices of Termination (NOTs), and Annual Reports on the behalf of the City of
Redlands; and
WHEREAS, all reports, certifications, or other information required by the General
Permit or requested by the Regional Water Board, State Water Board, U.S. EPA, or local storm
water management agency shall be signed by a LRP; and
WHEREAS, the LRP is responsible for reviewing, validating and certifying the annual.
report for accuracy and correctness before it is submitted; and
WHEREAS, for a municipality, only a principal executive officer or ranking elected
official can be recognized as an LPR;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands
hereby adopts this Resolution to designate the Redlands City Engineer as the Legally
Responsible Person for the purpose of compliance with the provisions of the general storm water
permit.
