A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING A CLASSIFICATION FOR CERTAIN STREETS BASER
ON THE FUNCTION OF THE STREETS AS DEFINED BY THE S'T'ATE
OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, Senate Resolution 49, 1969 regular session, requested
the California. State Department of 'T'ransportation to perform a
functional classification study of highways, roads, and streets in
cooperation with cities and counties; and
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 69 (1972) required the updating of the
classification study as a part of the development of the State
transportation plan; and
WHEREAS, the functional classification is expected to become
the basis for the allocation of Federal highway funds; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has completed the
functional classification of city streets based on the criteria
set forth by the State Department of Transportation and prepared
a map depicting same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands accepts the map on file in the office of the Di-
rector of Public Works as the functional classification of certain
streets within the City of Redlands .
ADOPTED, SIGNED, AND APPROVED this 20th day of November, 1373 .
