Resolved that the board of trustees of the city of Redlands deem
it to be required by the public interest and oozvenienoe,and hereby
orders that the following street work be done,to wit:—

The city clerk is hereby directed to publish a notice of said
work,inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing said work,and referr-
ing to the specifications posted or on file for two days,in the manner
required by law,in The Citrograph,a weekly newspaper of general cir—
culation and published and circulated in *k*gatt= said city Hereby
designated for that purpose. Said notice shall require a certified
check or bond,either,as prescribed by law,and for an amount not lees
than ten per cent.of the aggregate of the proposal. He is also dir—
ected to post said notice with specifications conspicuously for five
days on or near the chamber door of said board,and he shall, also
cause this resolution to be published for two days,in the manner re—
quired by law,in said Citrograph,hereby designated for that purpose.
