RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS , CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING SUPERINTENDENT
OF STREETS ' REPORT 0'F COST OF CONSTRUCTION AND
ASSESSMENT FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN FOUN-
TAIN AVE14UE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redlands ,
California, ("this City Council") has previously received a
report from. the Superintendent of Streets reporting that peti-
tions signed by the owners of more than sixty percent of the
front footage of the properties along Fountain Avenue within
Fountain Avenue Assessment District had requested the instal-
lation of an 8-inch diameter sewer line within said Assessment
District; and
WHEREAS , this City Council instructed the Superin-
tendent of Streets to commence construction of said sewer im-
provements and thereafter prosecute said construction to com-
pletion if said construction were not commenced and completed
with due diligence by the owners of the property within the
Assessment District ; and
WHEREAS , thereafter, the work was not commenced by
the owners of the property within the Assessment District and
the Superintendent of Streets constructed the improvements in
accordance with the provisions of Division 7 , Part 3, Chapter
27 of the Improvement Act of 1911 ; and

WHEREAS , upon the completion of said construction,
the Superintendent of Streets gave notice in the manner re-
quired by law to those persons or property owners where the
construction work had been done setting forth the day, hour
and the place where this City Council would hear and pass
upon the report of the Superintendent of Streets regarding
the cost of construction and hear as well any objections or
protests which may be raised by any property owner liable
to be assessed for the cost of construction, as well as any
other interested person; and
WHEREAS , the Superintendent of Streets has filed
with this City Council a report specifying the work performed,
the cost of construction, a description of the real property
adjacent to where the work has been done and the assessment
against each lot or parcel; and
WHEREAS, this City Council heard said report and
any objections or protests thereto on June 5 , 1984;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Redlands , California, as follows :
SECTION 1 : The report of the Superintendent of
Streets specifying the work which has been done, the cost
of construction and the description of the real property

adjacent to where the work has been performed, and the
assessment against each lot or parcel of land proposed
to be levied to pay the cost thereof under the provi-
sions of Chapter 27 of the Improvement Act of 1911 , is
hereby approved and confirmed.
SECTION 2 : The Superintendent of Streets is
hereby ordered and directed to deliver to the San Bernar-
dino County Assessor a Notice of Lien, in the form attached
hereto and made a part hereof, for each parcel of land as-
sessed pursuant to the provisions of Section 5893 of the
Streets and Highway Code, so that the San Bernardino County
Assessor may enter the amount thereof on the San Bernardino
County Assessment Book opposite the description of the parti-
cular property, and so that the amount thereof shall be col-
lected together with all other taxes thereon against the
property. The description of each lot or parcel and the
amount of assessment to pay the cost of improvements against
each such lot or parcel , is herein confirmed, is set forth
on the schedule attached hereto, and made a part hereof.
