RESOLUTION NO. 4786
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA,
INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS, APPOINTING AN ENGINEER OF WORK,
AND ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF AN ENGINEER'S REPORT
IN THE MATTER OF THE ANNEXATION TO
STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 1,
(CRA 517, CRA 628, CRA 624, CRA 305, TRACT 13575,
CUP 550, CRA 623, CUP 542, M/S 210 and M/S 201)
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council of the City of
Redlands, County of San Bernardino, California, that the public
interest, convenience and necessity requires the installation,
operation and maintenance of a street lighting system and other
facilities as set forth in Section 22525 of the Streets and
Highways Code, State of California.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does
hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1 . That the public interest, convenience and necessity
requires the Annexation to a Street Lighting District for the
purpose of installing, operating and maintaining the street
lighting and other facilities authorized by Section 22525 of the
Streets and Highways Code , State of California , along certain
public streets in CRA 517, CRA 628 , CRA 624 , CRA 305, TRACT 13575 ,
CUP 550, CRA 623 , CUP 542, M/S 210 and M/S 201.
SECTION 2 . That the lands to be specially charged for the instal-
lation, operation and maintenance of the street lighting facilities
shall be the area within the boundaries of the Annexation to the
District generally indicated on the annexation diagram and shall be
known as Annexation No. 3 to Street Lighting District No. 1.
SECTION 3 . That no part of the area is included within any other
District formed for the same purposes.
SECTION 4 . That the proceedings are to be conducted for said
Street Lighting District under and in accordance with provisions of
Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code (The Landscaping and
Lighting Act of 1972) of the State of California.
SECTION 5. That C G Engineering, 25814 Business Center Drive,
Suite A, Redlands, California, is hereby appointed "Engineer of
Work" and all provisions of Division 15 applicable to the Engineer
shall apply to said "Engineer of Work. "

SECTION 6. That Noel L. Christensen is hereby designated as the
member of said firm to sign all papers and documents in connection
with the proceedings for the annexation to said Street Lighting
District No. 1, acting in the capacity of "Engineer of Work. "
SECTION 7. That the cost of maintaining the street lighting facil-
ities along certain public streets of CRA 517, CRA 628, CRA 624,
CRA 305, TRACT 13575, CUP 550, CRA 623 , CUP 542 , M/S 210 and M/S
201, in the subject District shall be borne by the property owners
within the District, said cost to be assessed and collected in
accordance with The Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 .
SECTION 8. That the Engineer is hereby ordered to prepare a report
in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 1 of said The Landscaping and
Lighting Act of 1972 .
