This first amendment ("First Amendment") to the Public Works Construction Contract for
the 2023 CIP Water Pipeline and Highline Replacement Project dated December 17, 2024 (the
"Contract"), by and between the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation ("City"), and MCC
Pipeline, Inc. ("Contractor"), is made and entered into this 7' day of October 2025.
RECITALS
WHEREAS, City staff has identified the need for additional materials and work, including
approximately 600 linear feet of ductile iron pipe, 1,700 linear feet of PVC service pipe, and 225
linear feet of copper service pipe, along with increased roadway paving, requiring additional
funding;
WHEREAS, the contract amendment is essential to complete the replacement of the aged
steel water lines included in the project;
WHEREAS, it is the desire of City and Contractor to amend the "Contract Sum" of the
Contract to provide additional contingency funding to cover current and anticipated overages and
to serve as contingency for the remainder of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Contractor agree as follows:
AGREEMENT
Section 1. "2. CONTRACT SUM" to the Contract is hereby amended to read as follows:
"2. CONTRACT SUM: City shall pay Contractor the sum of Twelve Million Five Hundred
Thirty -Eight Thousand Three Hundred Sixty -Two Dollars and Ninety -Nine Cents
($12,538,362.99) as consideration for its performance of the Work in accordance with the terms
and conditions set forth in the Contract Documents."
Section 2. All other provisions of the Contract shall remain unchanged by this First
Amendment, and in effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this First Amendment, to be effective
as of the 7a' day of October, 2025.
