HomeMy WebLinkAbout6585_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO, 6585 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS GIVING PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF THE ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008 FOR STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT NO, I WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands ("this City Council") has heretofore determined that the public interest, convenience and necessity required the maintenance and operation of street lighting and appurtenant facilities as set forth in Section 22525 of the California Streets and Highways Code, within the incorporated boundaries of the City of Redlands; and WHEREAS, Matthew E. Webb of Albert A. Webb Associates is appointed "Assessment Engineer" with all provisions of Fart 2 of Division 15 of the Streets and Highway Code applicable to the Engineer applied to "Assessment Engineer;" and WHEREAS, Sections 22622 and 22623 of the Streets and Highways Code require that an Engineer's Report be prepared and filed annually, outlining the assessments to be levied against the benefiting properties within the Assessment District; and WHEREAS, Matthew E. Webb of Albert A. Webb Associates, as the Assessment Engineer, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk a written report as required by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 and in compliance with Article X111D of the California Constitution; and WHEREAS, this City Council has duly considered said report and each and every part thereof: and finds that each and every part of said report is sufficient, and that no part of the report should be modified in any respect; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1. That the Engineer's Estimate of the itemized costs and expenses of said work and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith, contained in said report be, and each of them are hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed. Section 2. That the diagram showing the Assessment District referred to and described in said report, the boundaries of the lots and parcels of land within said Assessment District as the same existed at the time of passage of this Resolution, are hereby preliminarily approved and confirmed. Section 3. That the proposed assessment upon the properties in the Assessment District, in proportion to the estimated benefit to be received by such properties, respectively, from said work and of the incidental expenses thereof, as contained in said report is hereby preliminarily approved and confirmed. Section 4. That said report shall stand as the Engineer's Report for the purposes of all subsequent proceedings and pursuant to the proposed district.
