A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADOPTING A STREET NAME
CHANGE FROM SESSUMS DRIVE TO RIVERVIEW DRIVE BETWEEN CHURCH STREET
AND DUKE STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has the authorityto name streets located in the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Fire Department and Police Department, in the name of public safety,
have recommended that the portion of Sessums Drive located between Church Street and Duke Street
be renamed Riverview Drive to be consistent with the name of the street on both the west and east
side; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the matter and concurs that the street should be
renamed to aid in timely emergency response calls.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands hereby resolves:
Section 1. That the street presently known as Sessums Drive located between Church Street
and Duke Street be renamed"Riverview Drive."
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Board
of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino as required by Government Code section 34092.
