RESOLUTION NO. 4168
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
FINDING THAT PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS ARE UNNECESSARY FOR
PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE
VACATION OF SAID PORTIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains
and resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands,
having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9,
Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, and having held a public hearing as
provided herein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted
that a port- ion of a certain street described in this
resolution is unnecessary for present or prospective street
purposes and that the public interest and convenience require
the closing of said portion of a certain street, The City
Councii hereby further finds that such vacation is consistent
with they
he City' s General Pian.
SECTION TWO : The City Council hereby orders the
vacation of a portion of Citrus Avenue as described in
Attachment "A. "
SECTION THREE: in the proceeding herein adopted by the
City Council for the vacation of a portion of Citrus Avenue
described in Attachment "A, " the City of Redlands reserves
and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and
right at any time, or from time to time, to construct,
maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers
and storm drains and appurtenant structures, in, upon, over
and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated
and pursuant to any exiting franchises or renewals thereof,
or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace,
remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables,
wires, poles and other convenient structures, equipment and
fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and
telephone lines, and for the distribution or transportation
of electric energy, ammonia, water and incidental purposes,
including access and right to keep property free from
inflammable materials and wood growth, and to otherwise
protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the
portion of the street proposed to be vacated.

Council hereby determines that

required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.

VACATING A PORTION OF CITRUS AVENUE
BETWEEN KANSAS STREET AND TENNESSEE STREET
PARCEL 1
The north 23 . 00 feet of the south 40 feet of the
southeast quarter of Lot 21 of Barton Ranch as recorded in
Book 6 of Maps, Page 19 in the Office of the County Recorder,
County of Ban Bernardino, State of California.
Excepting therefrom that portion within Tennessee Street
as it now exists.
PARCEL 2
All that portion of the south 340 feet of the southwest
quarter of Black 21 , Barton Ranch as per plat recorded in
Book 6 of daps, Page 19 thereof, records of San Bernardino
County, State of California, and more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the centerline intersection of Kansas
Street, SO feet wide, and Citrus Avenue, also SO feet wide,
thence northerly along the centerline of Kansas Street 55. 68
feet; thence easterly perpendicular to centerline of said
Kansas Street 40 feet to a point on the easterly right-of-way
line of Kansas Street and the beginning of curve concave
northeasterly having a radius of 13 feet and central angle of
890 7' 10" . thence southerly and easterly along said curve
to a point 43 feet northerly, measured at right angles, from
the centerline of Citrus Avenue; thence easterly alone a line
parallel with the centerline of Citrus Avenue and 43 feet
distant therefrom , to the east line of said southwest
quarter ; thence southerly along the east line of said
southwest quarter to the centerline of Citrus Avenue; thence
westerly along said centerline to its intersection with the
centerline of Kansas Street and the point beginning.
Excepting therefrom that portion within Kansas Street as
it now exists and also excepting therefrom the South 17 .00
feet.
