A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLAN FINDING THAT
A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR
PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION
STREET VACATION NO. 118
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands, having elected to proceed
under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided herein, hereby finds from all
evidence submitted that Guido Avenue, Victor Avenue and a portion of Bryn Mawr Avenue
north of San Bernardino Avenue and west of California Street in Concept Plan No. 2 of the East
Valley Corridor Specific Plan as described in Exhibit "A" (attached hereto and made a part
thereof) is unnecessary for present or prospective public use and that the public interest and
convenience rewire the closing of a portion of said street.
SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a portion of said street
described in the attached Exhibit "A."
SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for the
vacation of a portion of said street described in the attached Exhibit "A," the City of Redlands
reserves and excepts from the vacations the permanent easement and right at any time, or from
time to time to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and
storm drains and appurtenant structures, in, upon, over and across any street or part thereof
proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any exiting franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise,
to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits,
cables, wires, poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of
gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone Iines, and for the distribution or transportation of
electric energy water and incidental purposes, including access and right to keep property free
from inflammable materials and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all
hazards in, upon, and over the portion of the street proposed to be vacated.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 19th day of June, 2001.

That portion Bryn Mawr Avenue (formerly Aquilon Avenue) as shown on the map of
Orange Grove Homestead Tract, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino,
State of California, as per plat recorded in book 2 of Maps, page 5, in the office of the
County Recorder of said County lying Southerly of the following described line:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of said land described in the deed to the Southern
California Edison Company recorded October 8, 1964, in Book 6247, page 697 of
Official Records in the office of said County recorder; thence North 0°30'06 West
1468.83 feet along said Easterly line of said land of the Southern California Edison
Company to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence North 89L'29'54" East 1185.00
feet to the end of said line.
