HomeMy WebLinkAbout4247_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4247 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as follows: SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 , Part 3 , Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate a portion of a certain street in the manner provided therein. SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of Citrus Street as described in Exhibit "A" attached. SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that a portion of said street is excess right-of-way; therefore the vacation of a portion of said street as described in Exhibit "A" may be required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Engineering Services Department and available for inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearing on the street closing at 7 :00 P. M. on the 2nd day of June, 1987 , in the regular meeting place of the City Council, Redlands, California. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 21st day of April, 1987. � 7 Mayor of the City of Redlands ATTEST: City,C1 rk I, Lorrie Poyzer, City Clerk, City of Redlands, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of April, 1987 , by the following Grote: AYES: Councilmembers Larsen, DeMirjyn, Johnson, Wormser; Mayor Beswick NOES: None ABSENT: None City' C1 r Resolution No. 4247 Page two - EXHIBIT "A" PORTION OF CITRUS AVENUE TO BE VACATED BY THE CITY OF REDLANDS That portion of Citrus Avenue as shown on Map of Barton Ranch recorded in Book 6 of Maps, Page 19, records of the County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Block 18 of said Map, said Southeast corner being at the intersection of the sidelines of Citrus Avenue and Kansas Street as shown on said Map; thence S 45° W 22.62 feet to a point on a line which is parallel with and 16 feet southerly, measured at right angles, from the South line of said Block 18; thence West along said parallel line 604.17 feet, more or less, to the West line of the East one-half of said Block 18; thence North 16.00 feet to the South line of said Block 18; thence East along said South line to the point of beginning.
