2RESOLUTION NO. 4248
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
FINDING THAT A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR
PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE
VACATION OF SAID PORTION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RELANDS hereby ordains
and resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands,
having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 ,
Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, and having held a public hearing a
provided herein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted
that portion of said street described in Exhibit "A"
{attached.} are unnecessary for present or prospective streets
and alleys purposes and that the public interest and
convenience require the closing of portion of said street.
The City Council hereby further finds that such vacation is
consistent with the City' s General Plan.

C`s"'ION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the
vacation of portion of said street described in the attached
Exhibit "A."
SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by
this City Council for the vacation of portion of said street
described in the attached Exhibit "A' the City of Redlands
reserves and excepts from the vacations the permanent
easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and , renew
sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures,
in, upon, over and across any street or alley or part thereof
proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any exiting franchises
or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain,
operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe,
conduits, cables, wires, poles and other convenient
structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas
pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and for the
distribution or transportation of electric energy, water and
incidental purposes, including access and right to keep
property free from inflammable materials and wood growth, and
to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and
over the portion of the street proposed to be vacated.

SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that
the vacation of a portion of said street as described in the
attached Exhibit "A" herein is required by public interest,
convenience, safety and welfare.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of July, 1987 .

EXHIBIT "A"
PORTION OF CITRUS AVENUE TO BE VACATED BY THE CITY OF REDLANDS
That portion of Citrus Avenue as shown on Map of Barton Ranch
recorded in Book 6 of Maps, Page 19, records of th<: County of San
Bernardino, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Block 18 of said Map, said
Southeast corner being at the intersection of the sidelines of Citrus
Avenue and. Kansas Street as shown on said Map; thence S 45° W 22.62
feet to a point on a line which is parallel with and 16 feet southerly,
measured at right angles, from the South line of said Block 18; thence
West along said parallel line 604.17 feet, more or less, to the
West line of the East one-half of said Block 18; thence North 16.00
feet to the South line of said Block 18; thence East along said
South line to the point of beginning.
