RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF
A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3,
Chapter 2 of the Street and Highways Code of the State of Calif-
ornia and to vacate a portion of a street in the wanner provided
therein.
SECTION TWO: The City Council, does hereby declare its intention
to order the vacation of a portion of a certain street described
as follows :
That portion of Lot 8, Block J, Second Preliminary Map
of Redlands, as per plat recorded in Map Book 5, Page 2,
records of San Bernardino County, State of California,
described as follows .-
Beginning
ollows :Beginning at the most easterly corner of Lot 6 of Watkins
Addition to Redlands as shown on plat recorded in Book 5
of Maps, Page 94, records of said County, said corner
being on the northerly line of Clifton Court, formerly
Middle Place; thence northerly to the northeasterly corner
of said Lot 6; thence easterly 15 feet to the northwesterly
corner of Lot 1 of said Watkins Addition; thence southerly
to the southwesterly corner of Lot 5 of said Watkins Addi-
tion, said last mentioned corner also being on the northerly
line of Clifton Court; thence westerly 15 feet to the point
of beginning.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation
of the portion of the certain street described herein is required by
public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed street
vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public
Works and available for inspection by persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and
place of Public Hearing on the above described street closing at
7: 00 P.M. ren the 4th day of -- February _ _ , 1969
in the regular meeting place of the City Council, Redlands, Calif-
ornia.
SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this resolu-
tion shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper
of general circulation published and circulated in the City of
Redlands, California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of January
1969.
