RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF CERTAIN
STREETS IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLVE AS FOL-
LC(WS.-
,SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chap-
ter 2, of the Street and High7ways Code of the State of California
and to vacate portions of streets in the manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its inten-
tion to order the vacation of portions of certain streets described
as follows:
Legal Description for Vacating Portions of Contour Street
and Bridge Street (Fifth Avenue)
All that portion of Contour Street and Bridge Street in the
City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California
described as follows-
Beginning at the southerly most corner of that certain parcel
conveyed to the State of California by John H. Hinkle and
Claudia E. Hinkle described in instrument No. M, recorded
in Book 5228, Page 290, Official Records of San Bernardino
County, said point being on the northerly line of Contour
Street, 60 feet wide and westerly line of Morrison Avenue,
88 feet wide; t 8ence westerly along the north line of Contour
Street south 80 32 ' 26" west, 285. 20 feet to an angle point;
thence north 35006 ' 16" west, 111. 21 feet along the northerly
line of Bridge Street to the southerly most point of that
certain parcel conveyed to the State of California. by john
H. Hinkle and Claudia E. Hinkle in instrument No. 173,
recorded in Book 5228, Page 286, Official Records of said
county; said point being on the easterly right of way line
of Interstate Highway 10 also known as Redlands Freewav; thence
southerly along said easterly right of way line to its inter-
section with the westerly prolongation of centerline of
Contour Street; thence easterly along said prolongation of
the centerline and along said centerline of Contour Street
to its intersection with the southerly prolongation of the
west line of that certain parcel described in instrument
No. 174; thence northerly along the last mentioned prolonga-
tion of the west line to the Point of Beginning.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of the portions of the certain streets described herein is
required by public intere8t, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed
street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department
of Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and
date and place of Public Hearing on the above-described street
closing at 7: 00 P.M. on the 19th data of yanAqry._1971_Q the regu-
lar meeting place of the City Council, Redlands, California.
SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this
resolution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts , a news-
paper of general circulation published and circulated in the City
of Redlands, California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 15th day of December ,
1970 .
