RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF
A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter
2 of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California and to
vacate a portion of a street in the manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention
to order the vacation of a portion of a certain street described as
follows:
Legal Description for Vacating a Portion of Cypress Avenue
All that portion of Lot 5, Plat of Part of Section 4, Township
2 South, Range 3 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the
City of Redlands, as recorded in Book 9 of Maps, page 27 thereof,
records of San Bernardino County, State of California, and de-
scribed as follows:
COMMENCING at the centerline intersection of Cypress Avenue and
the North line of Section 4; thence South 560 19 ' West 11. 69
feet to the beginning of a curve concave Northerly having a
radius of 250 feet; thence Westerly along the curve, through
a central angle of 350 05 ' 20" , an arc distance of 153 . 10 feet;
thence South 10 24 ' 20" West on a radial line to said curve,
43 . 00 feet to the True Point of Beginning, said point of begin-
ning being North 80 29 ' 30" West 66. 58 feet from the most Nor-
therly corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed to
Edward P. Barrows and Irene M. Barrows, husband and wife by
deed recorded July 25, 1967 as Instrument 265 in Book 6861,
page 362, Official Records of said County; thence from said
point of beginning, curving to the right from an initial tan-
gent that bears North 880 35 ' 40" West with a radius of 293 . 00
feet through a central angle of 30 49 ' 20" , an arc distance of
19. 55 feet; thence North 840 46 ' 20" West 13 . 68 feet to a tan-
gent curve; thence curving to the left with a radius of 18. 00
feet through a central angle of 900 00 ' 00" , an arc distance
of 28. 27 feet; thence South 50 13 ' 40" West 20. 32 feet to a
tangent curve; thence curving to the right with a radius of
129. 00 feet through a central angle of 420 08 ' 11" , an arc
distance of 94. 87 feet to an intersection with the Northwest-
erly line of the aforesaid parcel conveyed to Edward P. Barrows
and Irene M. Barrows; thence North 640 00 ' 00" East along said
Northwesterly line, 117. 34 feet to the most Northerly corner
therein; thence North 80 29 ' 30" West 66. 58 feet to the point
of beginning.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of the portion of the certain street described herein is
required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed
street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of
Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date
and place of Public Hearing on the above described street closing at
7: 00 P.M. on the lst day of April, 1969 in the regular meeting place
of the City Council, Redlands, California.
SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this reso-
lution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper
of general circulation published and circulated in the City of
Redlands, California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 11th day of March, 1969.
