RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF
A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS :
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter
2 of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California and to
vacate a portion of a street in the manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its inten-
tion to order the vacation of a portion of a certain street described
as follows:
All that portion of Edgemont Drive, portion of Lots 1 and
2 of Sunset Heights as per plat recorded in Book 15 of
Maps, Page 51 thereof, records of San Bernardino County,
State of California, located northerly of the following
described line:
Commencing at the centerline intersection of Edgemont Drive
with the west line of Sunset Heights, said west line also
being the west line of the northeast quarter Section 1
T2S R3W SBB & M, thence northwesterly along a radial to a
curve, N 67005 'W, 25 feet to the beginning of a curve con-
cave southerly, having a radius of 312. 90 feet and whose
initial tangent bears N 22055 'E, thence northerly along
the said curve through a central angle of 8055 ' 15" a dis-
tance of 48.72 feet and the true point of beginning of a
line to be described.
Thence continuing along the said curve through a central
angle of 48012 ' 56" an arc distance of 263 . 31 feet to a
point of a compound curve, thence easterly along the curve
concave southerly having a radius of 605.70 feet and a
central angle of 44020 ' 27" through an arc distance of
468.69 feet to a point of tangency. Thence along a
tangent S 55015 'E a distance of 112 . 51 feet to a point on
the east line of said lot and the terminus of said line.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of the portion of the certain street described herein is re-
quired by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed
street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of
Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date
and place of Public Hearing on the above described street closing at
7 : 00 P.M. on the 5th day of July IF 1967 in the regular meeting
place of the City Council, Redlands, California.
SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this reso-
lution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of
general circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands,
California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this day of 1967.

SUBJECT: Vacating portion of Edgemont (Sunset Drive)
I am attaching a sketch and a legal description of a portion of
Edgemont Drive (Sunset) to be vacated. The portion in green was
dedicated November 18, 1914; however, the portion in red was
never vacated. They would like to clear the title on that portion
and asked us to vacate. If you wish, run it through the Commission.
If not, let me know and I will have Peggy draw up a resolution to
go to Council for vacating.

The street vacation was prepared at the request of the
recorder' s office by letter, stating that this vacation
was set up in 1914 minutes .
On investigation by Mr. Shone , there seems to be an
illegal .lot split .
Engineering has decided not to proceed with thelz�.
vacation.
