RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION
OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLAN3S
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as fol-
lows :
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chap-
ter 2, of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California
and to vacate a portion of a street in the manner provided therein.
SEC'T'ION 740: The City Council does hereby declare .its inten-
tion to order the vacation of a ,portion of Fern. Avenue described
as follows
The southeasterly 18.00 feet of the following described
property:
All that portion of Fern Avenue, as shown on ADDITION
NO. 5 to the SECOND PRELIMINARY MAP OF REDLAN 7S, in the
City of Redlands , County of San Bernardino, State of
California, as per plat recorded in Book 5 of Maps, Page
7, Official Records of said County, described as follows :
COMMENCING at the centerline intersection of Fera Avenue
and Lakeside Avenue, as shown on Tract No. 9503, .recorded.
in Book 132 of Maps, Pages 95 and 96, in the office of
the County Recorder, County sof San Bernardino, State of
California ; thence south 56' 19' 00" west 149.00 .feet
along the centerline of Fern. Avenue to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING; thence continuing along the aforesaid center-
line of Fern Avenue, south 56" 19 ' 00" west 571 .36 feet;
thence south 330 41 ' 00" east 50 .00 feet, to the south-
easterly right of way lane of the aforesaid Fern Avenue;
thence along said .right of way, north 56` 19 ' 00" east
to the southwesterly boundary line of the aforesaid
Tract No. 3503 ; thence north 33' 41 ' 00" west to the
TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
SEC'T'ION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of the portion of Fern Avenue described above is required
by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare .
SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the proposed
street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department
of Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation..
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date
and place of Public Tearing on the street closing at 7 :00 P.M. o
the 16th day of August, 1977, in the regular meeti
