K RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CLOSE A PORTION OF A FERN AVENUE.
The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to
proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate a portion of a
street in the manner provided thereinn
SECTION TWO: This City Council does hereby declare that it is the
intenti.on of this City Council to order the vacation of a portion of
Fern Avenin, described as follows:
The Southeasterly 18.00 feet of 100 foot wide Fern Avenue,
lying Northwesterly of, and adjacent to Lot 8, Block X,
Addition No- 5 to the Second Preliminary Map of Redlands,
in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State
of California, as per plat recorded in Book 5 of Maps,
page 7, records of said County.
SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by the City Council for
the vacation of a portion of Fern Avenue, the City of Redlands reserves and
excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time, or
from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and
renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon,
over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pur-
suant to any existing franchiseb or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of
pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures,
equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic
and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the transportation or dis-
tribution of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water,
and incidental purposes, including access and the right to keep the
property free from inflammable materials , and wood growth, and otherwise
protect the same from all hazards in, upon and over the street or part
thereof proposed to be vacated.
SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation
of the portion of city street, namely, Fern Avenueg described herein, is
required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FIVE: A map setting out the particulars of the proposed street
vacation shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk and available for
inspection by interested persons.
SECTION SIX: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place
of Public Hearing of all matters concerning the above-described proposed
street closing, and the time at which any person or agent should present
any obj P `tions to the --<oresaid street vacation, atp.m. on the

of the City Council in the City Hall, Redlands, California.
