RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN
STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as
follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands
hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 ,
Part 3 , Chapter 2 , of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California and to vacate a portion of a street in
the manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its
intention to order the vacation of a portion of Fifth Avenue
Northerly of Line "A" and Southwesterly of Line "B , " as
described in Attachment "A. "
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that
a portion of Fifth Avenue is excess right-of-way; therefore
the vacation of the portion of Fifth Avenue described in
Attachment " A" may be required by public interest ,
convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the
proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of
the Public Works Department and available for inspection by
persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time
and date and place of Public Hearing on the street closing at
7 : 00 P. M. on the 7th day of January, 1986 , in the regular
meeting place of the City Council , Redlands, California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 17th day of December,
1985 .

of Line "B" , described as follows :
Line "A" :
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Farview
Avenue with the centerline of Fifth Avenue as shown on Tract No .
3837 Rolling Hills Subdivision as recorded in Book 50 of Maps ,
Page 18 , in the office of the County Recorder , County of San
Bernardino , State of California , thence South 89° 49 ' 52" West
(record South 89° 40 ' 45" West) along said centerline of Fifth
Avenue , 175 . 91 feet ; thence South 28 ° 04 ' 00" West (record South
27° 54 " 53" West) , 105 . 47 feet ; thence North 61° 56 ' 00" West
(record North 62° 05 " 07" West) , 30 . 00 feet to the True Point of
Beginning , last said point being the beginning of a reverse curve ,
a radial at last said point being North 61 ° 56 ' 00" West , concave
Southeasterly and having a radius of 206 . 35 feet ; thence North-
easterly along said curve through a central angle of 33° 49" 341'
an arc distance of 121 . 82 feet to the beginning of a compound
curve concave Southerly and having a radius of 113 . 23 feet , thence
Easterly and Southerly along last said curve through a central
angle of 118° 27 ' 03" an arc distance of 234 . 09 feet to its inter-
section with the East line of said Farview Avenue , last said
intersection also being the terminus of Line "A" .
Line "B" :
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Marion Road
with the centerline of Fifth Avenue as shown on Tract No . 3837
Rolling Hills Subdivision as recorded in Book 50 of Maps , Page 18
in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino ,
State of California ; thence South 89° 49 ' 52" West (record South
89° 40 ' 45" West) 362 . 90 feet ; thence South 0° 10 ' 08" East (record
South 0° 19 ' 15" East) , 44 . 00 feet to the beginning of a curve , a
radial at said curve bears North 0° 10 ' 08" 'West (record North 0°
19 " 15" West) , concave Northeasterly and having a radius of 544 . 00
feet ; thence Northwesterly along last said curve through a central
angle of 50° 44 ' 38" an arc distance of 481 . 79 feet to a point of
tangency and also the terminus of said Line "B" .
Excepting therefrom that portion vacated as described in Resolution
No . 3035 recorded in Book 8151 , Page 1007 of Records of said County.
