RESOLUTION OF !NTENTION TO VOCATE I POP=011N
OF A CERTAIN STREET 1N THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RED AN DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects
to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3 , Chapter 2, of the
Street and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate a
portion of a street in the manner provided therein.,
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention to
order the vacation of a portion of a certain str8et described as follows -,
Legal description for vacating a portion of Fifth Avenue
That portion of Fifth Avenue of the Redlands Heights (Craft's Map) as
recorded in Book 11 of Maps, Page 16, records of San Bernardino County,
State of California, described as follows �
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 2, Tract No. 56883 as recorded
in Book 88 of Maps, Pages 24 and 25, said Northeast corner being 44 feet
Southerly, measured at right angles from the centerline of 88 foot wide
Fifth Avenue; thence Westerly along the Worth line of said Lot 2, 80.00
feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 2; thence North 00 19' 15" West,
5.91 feet to a point on a curve concave Northerly having a radius of
544.00 feet; tangent to said curve at iast said point bears South 810
51 ' 59" East; thence Easterly along said curve through a central angle of
80 27 ' 04" , W24 feet to the Point of Beginning.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation
of the portion of the certain street described herein is required by
public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed street
vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public Works
and available for inspection by persons interest8d in or obDecting to
the proposed vacation,
SECTION FIVEr The City Ccuncil hereby fixes the time and date and
place of public hearing on the above-described street closing at 700 P? M.
on the 20th day of March, 1973 in the regular meeting place of the City
Council, Redlands, California.
SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passageo this resolution
shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general
circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands, California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th day of February, 1973 .
