HomeMy WebLinkAbout4423_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4423 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS ST. VACATION NO. 95 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as follows: SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 , Part 3 , Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways. Code of the State of California and to vacate a portion of a certain street in the manner provided therein. SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of a portion of Fifth Street as described in Exhibit "A" attached. SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that a portion of said street excess right-of-way; therefore the vacation of a portion of said street as described in Exhibit "A" may be required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Planning and Community Development Department and available for inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearings on the street closing at 7 :00 P.M. on the 1st day of November, 1988, in the regular meeting place of the City Council , Redlands, California. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 4th day of October, 1988. Mayor of the City of Redlands ATTEST: `City C erk T , Lorrie Poyzer, City Clerk , City of Redlands, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day of October , 1988, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Wormser, DeMirjyn, Johnson; Mayor Beswick NOES: Councilmember Cunningham ABSENT: None City Clerk EXHIBIT "A" DESCRIPTION OF VACATED PORTION OF FIFTH STREET That portion of Fifth Street, 50 feet wide, as established and shown on the recorded map of Balcom's Addition to the City of Redlands, dated April 7, 1897, recorded May 6, 1897, in book 13 of Maps, page 4, Records of San Bernardino County, that is bounded on the North by the South line of Parr Avenue; on the South by the North line of Redlands Avenue; on the West by the West line of Fifth Street; and on the East by the West line of Block D, all as shown on the recorded map of said Balcom"s Addition.
