A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CLOSE PORTIONS OF FIRST STREET, CITRUS AVENUE, AND
SECOND STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS SAID PORTIONS OF STREETS ARE NO LONGER
RQUIRED FOR STREET PURPOSES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby resolves as followeg
SECTION ONE. The City Council, of the City of Redlands hereby elects to
proceed under the provisions of Division 9. Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets-
and Highways Code in the State of California and to vacate portions of certain
streets In the manner provided therein�
SECTION TWO. This City Council does hereby declare that it is the intention
of the City Council to order the vocation of portions of certain streets in the
City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California described as
follows-
Those portions of First Street, Citrus Avenue and Second Street in the
City of Redlands, County of San Bermardlinc, State of California as
shown on Town Plat of Redlands, recorded In Book 5 of Mpg, Page lOg
Stone Qs Subdivision recorded in Book 5 of Maps, Page 37; Brookside
Avenue Subdivision as shown in Book 17 of Maps, Page 1; bounded and
contained by the following described deo
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Tama Plat of
Redlands, thence westerly along the south line of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 of
said Block I and northwesterly along the southwesterly line of that
certain unnumbered lot Block 1 to the west lime of said Block 1, said
line being also the east line of First Street; thence southwesterly
across First Street from said aforementioned point to the most north-
erly corner of triangular shaped Lot 7. Stonegs Subdivision; thence
along the northeasterly line of Lot 7 and Lot 6 of Stone's Subdivision
to the most easterly corner of Lot 65 thence southwesterly along the
southeasterly line of Lot 6 to a point, said point being the intersection
of the northwesterly prolongation of the northeasterly 1n of Lot 1
Brookside Avenue Subdivieionq said point being also the perpendicular
distance of 10 feet from said northeasterly line of said Lot 6, Stanevs
Subdivision; thence soutbeasterly al=g the northeasterly lie prolonged
and said northeasterly line of Lot 1, Brookside Avenue Subdivision to
the most easterly corner thereof, said corner being also on the north
line of Brookside Avenue, a street of 100=foot right-of-way as shown on
vaid map; thence northeasterly along the prolongation of the northerly
line of Brookside Avenue 69078 feet to a point which is 52.32 feet
measured :southwesterly along -aid north line oT Brookside Avenue from
its intersection with the centerline extended of Eureka Stivet, a street
of 50-foot right-of-way as said Eureka Street is shown on map of Orange
Grove Addition as per plat recorded in Book 4. Page 38 thereof,recards
of said County; thence along a tangent curve of 12 foot radius, concave
to the west, through an included angle of 89* 530 30" 18.83 feet, thence
along a tangent north 33d 330 30" west 2060 feet; thence along a tangent
curve of 220 foot radius concave to the northeast through na included
angle of 120 401 12" a distanne of 48.27 feet to the east line of said
Lot I Block 10 Town Plat at Redlands; thence sauth along the east line
of said Lot 1 to the Point of Begiankag.
SECTION THREE. The City Council hereby deterrunes that the vacation of
these portions of city streets namely;First Street.. Citrvs Avenue, and Second
Street,, described herein, is required by, public interest, cor,,p,_-nience., safety
and welfare.
SECTION FOUR. A map setting out the particulars of the proposed street
vacation shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk and available for in-
spection by interested persons.
SECTION FIVE, The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place
of a public hearing of all matters concerning the above described proposed street
closingL, and the time at which any person or agent should present any objections
to the aforesaid street vacation at 7.00 P.M. on the 3rd day of October1961,

the regular meeting place of the City Council in the City Hall, Redlands, California.
