RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORT-ION
OF FOURTH STREET IN THE CITY OFREDLAINDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION ONE: The City Counci'l of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter
2 of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California and to
vacate a portion of a street in the manner provided therein.
SECTION nqO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention
to order the vacation of a portion of a certain street described as
follows :
Westerly 25 feet of 50 moot wide Fourth Street southerly
of the easterly extension of the north line of Lot 1,
Block 6, said north line also being a south line of 14 foot
wide alley; and northerly of the easterly extension of the
south line of Lot 1, Block 6, said south line also being the
northerly line of 80 foot wide State Street; being a portion
of Redlands Town Plat, in the City of Redlands, as recorded
in Book 5 of Maps, Page 10 -thereof, records of San Bernardino
County.
Reserving and excepting to the City of Redlands the permanent
easement and right in, upon, over and across said vacated
street, at any time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace,
remove, and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appur-
tenant structures; to construct, maintain, operate, replace,
remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables,
wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and
fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and
telephone lines, and for the trans-porIC-ation or distribution
of electric energy, water, and incidental purposes, including
access ; the right to protect the property from all hazards in,
upon, and over the vacated street; for in-gress and egress for
emergency vehicles , and further reserving and excepting to the
City of Redlands a right of way for pedestrian use over the
southerly 14 feet of the move-described real property.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vaca-
tion of the certain street described herein is required by public in-
terest, convenience, safety and welfare,
SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed
street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of
Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested in or

bjecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fix the time and date
and place of Public Hearing on the above described street closing at
7: 00 P�M� an the 6th day, of Februarv, 1968 in the regular meeting

place of the City Council, Redlands, California.
SECTION SIX: Within lftfteen days after its passage, this reso-
lution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of
general circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands,
California.
