THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLITI� AS FOLLO-1JS: SECTION OMIE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3. Chapter 2 of the Street s and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate a )art, of a street in the manner -provided therein. SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of a portion of Franklin Avenue described as follows: ,111 of that portion of Lot 6, Block 10 as shown on Iflap No. 1 of a portion of Redlands Heights, in the City of Redlands,, County of San Bernardino., State of California as per plat recorded in Book 8, Page 41, and Book 5, PaEe 74, records of said County, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of 70-foot wide Franklin Avenue and the easterly line of 70-foot wide Garden Street; thence along said southerly line of Franklin Avenue south 880 401 east 73.97 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing along the southerly line of Franklin Avenue south 88" 401 east 232-04 feet; thence north 10 20t east 3-00 feet to the beginning of a curve concave to the north whose radius is 532 feet and whose tangent is parallel to the southerly line of Franklin Avenue; thence westerly along said curve 74.28 feet through an included angle of 80 001, thence on a tangent north 800 401 west 65.90 feet to the beginning of a second curve concave to the south whose radius is 148.00 feet; thence southwesterly along said curve 96.04 feet through a central angle of 370 10' 50" to the true point of beginning. SECTION THREE.- The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of the portion of the street described herein is required by public interest., convenience, safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fi-xcs the time and date and place of Public Hearing on the above described street closing at 7:00 P.M. on the 6th day of August, 1962 in the regular meeting place of the City Council in the City Hall,, Redlands, California. SECTION SIX; Within fifteen days after its passage, this resolution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts,, a nei,,,spaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands, California.
