RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT GRAVILLA AVENUE IS UNH—ECESSARY FOR
PRESENT OR PRCSPECTIVE STREET PURPC,;: 5 AND ORDERING VACATION OF SAID STREET. STRF T
VACATION NO. 32.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIM CITY OF REDLANDS hereby crda_ns and resolves as followzZ
ti
SECTION ONE. The City CounI_' cf the City of Redlands having elected to proceed `
under provisions of Division 5, Rat 1, Chapter 2, Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided thersin, hereby
finds from all the evidence sub.•v.tted that the street described in this resolution
is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and that the public interest
and convenience requires the closing of said street.
SECTION TWO. The City Council hereby orders the vacation of Gravilla Avenue
described as followss
All that portion of Gravilla Avenue, a street of 100-foot width in
the City of Redlands`,-County of San Bernardino, State of California,
as shown on the Map of West Redlands, recorded in Boole 9 of Maps,
Page 22 thereof, records of said County, lying between the northerly
lire of 200-foot wide Olive Avenue and a line 395 feet northwesterly
from and parallel with said northerly Line of Olive Avenue. Said
line being also the northerly City limit line of the City of Redlands.
SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for the
va--ation of the street described in Swecticn 2, the City of Redlands reserves and
sxcepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time, or from t:bre
to time to construct, rcairtain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers
and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any street or
part thereof proposed to be va^ated and pursuant to any existing franchises or re-
nerals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew
and enlarge Lines of pipe, conduits, cables, fires, poles, and other convenient
zt_ructures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic
and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the distribution or transportation of
electric energyq petroleum,, and its products., ammonia, water, and incidental pur-
poses.9 including access and right to keep the property free from inflammable
materials,, and wood growth., and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in,
upon, and over the street proposed to be vacated.
SECTION FOUR.- The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of the
street described herein is required by public interest., convenience, safety and
welfare.
