RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF CERTAIN
STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as
follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands
hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 ,
Part 3 , Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California and to vacate a portion of a certain
street in the manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its
intention to order the vacation of High Street and Stuart
Street between Orange Street and Sixth Street and Fifth
Street between High Street and A.T.S.F. Railroad right of way
and alleys as described in Exhibit "A" attached.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that
portions of said streets and alleys are excess right-of-ways;
therefore the vacation of portions of said streets and
alleys as described in Exhibit "A" may be required by public
interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the
proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of
the Engineering Services Department and available for
inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the
proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time
and date and place of Public Hearing on the streets and
alleys closing at 7:00 P.M. on the 16th day of June, 1987 , in
the regular meeting place of the City Council, Redlands,
California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of June, 1987.

not previously vacated lying within the following described parcel of land:
Being a portion of Blocks "B" and "C", High Street (formerly Stillman
Avenue) , and Fifth Street of The Link, as shown by map on file in Book 4,
at page 13 of Maps, a portion of Blocks "A,", "B" , and "C", High Street
(formerly Stillman Avenue) , Stuart Street, and Fifth Street, of BALCOM'S
ADDITION, to the City of Redlands, as sho°-rn by map on file in Book 13, at
page 4 of Maps, and Parcel 1 of Parcel Map 666, as shown by map on file in
Book 6, at page 12 of Parcel Maps, all Records of San Bernardino County,
California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Parcel 1:
Thence N.89*55'15"E. along the North line of said Parcel 1 , a distance
of 112.85 feet to the Northeast corner thereof, said corner also being a
point on the centerline of an alley within said Block "B" of The Fink,
vacated by Resolution No. 2889, Recorded June 18, 1971 , in Book 7691 ,
at page 692, Official Records of San Bernardino County, California;
Thence N.00°27 '41"W. along the centerline of said alley, a distance
of 0.99 feet to a line parallel with and 6.00 feet Southerly, measured at
right angles from the Southerly line of Pearl Avenue as conveyed to the City
of Redlands by Deed Recorded June 28, 1972, in Book 7965, at page 487,
Official Records of San Bernardino County, California;
Thence N.89`22'07"E. along said parallel line, a distance of 450.75
feet;
Thence Southeasterly and Southerly along a curve, concave South-
westerly, having a radius of 18.00 feet through an angle of 90°22 '57", an
