HomeMy WebLinkAbout2182_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 2182 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TID CLOSE PORTION OF HIGH AVENUE AT CHURCH STREET The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as follows: SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate a part of a street in the manner provided therein. SECTION TWO: This City Council does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of a portion of High Avenue at Church Street described as follows-, All that portion of High Avenue in the northeast quarter of Block 27 in the City of Redlands., County of San Bernardino_, State of California as recorded in Book 7 of Maps, Page 2 records of said County described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot 30 of the Rancho San Bernar- dino, being also the intersection of the northerly right-of-way line of 60 foot wide High Avenue and the westerly right-of-way line of 60 foot wide Church Street, thence along said northerly line of High Avenue south 89, 50' 5711 west 14 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing along the northerly line of High Avenue south 890 50' 57" west 82.83 feet to a point in the northerly right-of-way line of Interstate Highway No. 10, thence along said northerly line of Interstate Highway No. 10 south 58" 221 00" east 97.44 feet., thence north 00* 081 3111 west 51.32 feet to the true point of beginning. SECTION THREE- In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for the vacation of the portion of street described in Section 2, the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time,, or from time to time,, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in,, upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace., remove., renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wares, poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone ,lines, railroad lines, and for the transportation or distribution of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water, and incidental purposes, including access and the right to keep the property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and otherwise protect the same from hazards in, upon and over the street or part thereof proposed to be vacated. SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of the portion of the street described herein is required by public interest., convenience, safety and welfare. SECTION FIVE: A map setting out the particulars of the proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of the City Engineer and available for inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION SIX: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearing on the above described proposed street closing at 7:00 P.M. on the 6th day of March, 1962, in the regular meeting place of the City Council in the City Hall, Redlands, California. SECTION SEVEN: Within fifteen days after its passage, this resolution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Redlands, California.
