A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN
STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
STREET VACATION NO. 83
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as
follows :
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 , Part 3 , Chap-
ter 2 , of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California
and to vacate a portion of a street in the manner provided therein .
SECTION TWO : The City Council does hereby declare its inten-
tion to order the vacation of a portion of Kansas Street described
in the attached Exhibit A.
SECTION THREE : The City Council hereby determines that a
portion of Kansas Street is unimproved and excess right-of-way;
therefore , the vacation of the portion of Kansas Street described
above may be required by public interest, convenience , safety and
welfare .
SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the proposed
street vacation shall be on file in the Office of Planning and
Community Development and available for inspection by persons
interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation .
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date
and place for public hearing on the street closing at 7 :00 P.M. on
the 19th day of February, 1985 , in the Council Chambers , 212 Brook-
side Avenue , Redlands , California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 5th day of February, 1985 .

PARCEL NO. 1
The west 40 . 00 feet of the northwest quarter of
Lot 23 , Barton Ranch , dedicated as Kansas Street , in
the City of Redlands , County of San Bernardino , State
of California , as per Map recorded in Book 6 of Maps ,
Page 19 , records of said County.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the west 30 . 00 feet of said north-
west quarter of Lot 23 .
PARCEL NO. 2
The west 40 .00 feet of the north 25 .00 feet of the
southwest quarter of Lot 23 , Barton Ranch , dedicated
as Kansas Street, as per Map recorded in Book 6 of Maps ,
Page 19 , records of said County.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the west 30 . 00 feet of said south-
west quarter of Lot 23 .
