HomeMy WebLinkAbout2639_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 2639 RESOLU'T'ION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate a portion of a street in the manner provided therein. SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of a portion of a certain street described as follows: Legal Description for Vacating portion of Western Avenue South 5 feet of the north 40 feet of the west 1/2, southwest 1/4, northwest 1/4, southwest 1/4, Section 22, Township 1 South, Range 3 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian in the City of Redlands, lying westerly of the west line of 60 foot wide Lawton Avenue and easterly of the east line of 66 foot wide Texas Street. SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vaca- tion of the certain street described herein is required by public in- terest, convenience, safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearing on the above described street closing at 7 : 00 P.M. on the 19th day of December , 1967 in the regular meeting place of the City Council, Redlands, California. SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this reso- lution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands, California. 1967 .
