HomeMy WebLinkAbout3500_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 3500 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE .PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as follows : SECTION ONE : The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 , Part 3 , Chap - ter 23, of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate portions of streets in the manner provided therein . SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its inten- tion to order the vacation of portions of Lincoln Street and Highland Avenue , and Redlands Street as described hereon. A portion of street right-of-way at the intersection of Lincoln Street , Redlands and Highland Avenue , as shown on map of east Redlands recorded in Book 7 of maps , page 47 , records of San Bernardino County , State of California , described as follows : Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Kenwood Drive and the northeasterly boundary of Tract 8786 as shown on last said tract recorded in Book 130 of maps , Pages 40 and 41 , records of said County ; thence South 620 54 ' 08" East along said boundary 496 . 17 feet ; thence North 890 45 ' 45" East 1 . 57 feet to a 1" iron pipe as shown on said Tract 8786 , said pipe being the point of beginning of the herein described parcel. ; thence North 560 22 ' 36" East 180 . 94 - feet to the inter- section with a line parallel with and 32 . 00 feet West (measured at right angles of the centerline of Lincoln Street ) ; thence along last said line South 000 27 ' 59" East 47 . 84 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave northwesterly having a radius of 13 . 00 feet ; thence southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 840 53 ' 35" , a length of 19 . 26 feet to the point of beginning of a tangent curve concave south- easterly having a radius of 293 . 00 feet , a radial to said point bears South 050 34 ' 24" East ; thence southwesterly along last said curve through a central angle of 280 03 ' 00" a length of 143 . 44 feet to the most easterly corner of said Tract 8786 ; thence North 330 37 ' 06" West 10 . 00 feet to the point of beginning . SECTION THREE : The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of portions of Lincoln Street and Highland Avenue described . above , is required by public interest , convenience , safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the proposed street vacations shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation . SECTION FIVE : The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearing on the street closings at 7 : 00 P.M. on the 20th day of June , 1978 , in the regular meeting place of the City Council , Redlands , California .
