CLOSING OF A PORTION OF LINCOLN STREET
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Redlands, declaring in-
tention to close, for purposes of street realignment, a portion of
LINCOLN STREET lying Northerly of Sylvan Boulevard and Southerly of Colton
Avenue, and further described a s follows:
All that portion of LINCOLN STREET, in the City of Redlands, County of
San Bernardino, State of California:
BEGINNING at a point, on the East line of 60 foot wide Lincoln Street,
which is North 89" 461 30t1 East 30.00 feet from a point which is South
00 131 3011 East 646.82 feet from the centerline intersection of Lincoln
Street and Colton Avenue ; thence South 3° 031 18" West 187.66 feet to the
beginning of a curve, concave to the Northeast and whose radius is 20.00
feet ; thence along said curve, Southeasterly, to its intersection with the
aforesaid East line of Lincoln Street ; thence along said line , North 00
131 30" West 206.15 feet , more or less , to the point of beginning.
EMREAS in a petition to the City Council presented by agent of the owners
and/or developers of proposed Tract No. 4784, University Heights, City of
Redlands, County of San Bernardino, the above described portion of
LINCOLN STREET is requested to be closed;
WHEREAS the City Council has become familiar with the reasons and conditions
for the proposed closing of the said portion of LINCOLN STREET and deter-
mines that authority to vacate the said portion of LINCOLN STREET is estab-
lished under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 of the State
of California.
WHEREAS the petioner has agreed to pay all costs incident to the closing of
said portion of LINCOLN STREET;
THEREFORE the City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of
Public Hearing of all matters concerning the above described proposed street
closing, and the time at which any person or agent should present any ob-
jection to the aforesaid closing, at 7:30 P.M. on the 15th day of May, 1956,
in the regular meeting place of the City Council in the City Hall, Redlands,
California.
THE CITY COUNCIL furthermore directs the Street Superintendent to cause
notice of the proposed closing hereof to be published in five consecutive
issues of the Redlands Daily Facts, and that not less than six copies of
each notice be caused to be posted by him within the immediate vicinity
and in the neighborhood of the street herein proposed to be closed.
