4 RE6OLVED, that the public interest , convenience , and
necessity require, and that it is the intention of the City
5 Council of' the City of Redlands, to order the closing of that
portion of Hill Street in said City from the north line of
6 6,aoramento 6treet to the south line of West Mate Street,
7 RE"-'OLVLcD) JURTHIIIIR$ that the lands affected and benefited by
said work and improvement and the closing of said portion of
8 said street and the lands to be assessed to pay the damages*
cost and expenses thereof, shall embrace all that certain real
9 property situate in the City of hedlands, (;aunty of San
Bernardino, State of California, lying within the district, the
10 exterior boundaries of which are described as follows, to-wit:
11 Beginning at the north t;ast corner of Lot 16, feller Pratt
and Kendall Subdivision, thence westerly along the souther-
12 ly line of Viest 6tate St. to the northeaat sorrier of ly:ooze
and Woodworths Brookside Subdivision, thence southerly
13 along the easterly line of said subdivision to the south-
easterly corner of Lot 75 of said subdivision, thence to
14 the southeast corner of said Lot 16 of said Feller, Pratt
and, Kendall Subdivision, thence north along the east line
15 of said Lot 16 to the point of beginning.
16 RE,`;OLV:ED,, that the public interest, convenience and
necessity require, ?nd that it is the intention of the City
17 Council of the City of Redlands, to order the closing of that
certain alley which runs north and south in Uakinley heights
18 :subdivision in said City, lying between lots 16 to 24 and lots
10 to 15 in said subdivision. The said City of Redlands hereby
19 reserves the richt to construct, maintain, and operate all
public utilities in the area now occupied by said alley.

RE60LVED, ITURTHER, that the lands affected and benefited by
21 said work and improvement and the closing of said alley and the
lands to be assessed to pay the damages,, cost and expenses there
22 of, shall embrace all that certain real property situate in the
City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California,
23 lying within the district, the exterior boundaries of which are
described as follows) to-wit:

All that land lying between Harding Drive and lionterey
25 SA. and West Cypress 4,ve. and Clifton eve.
26 REL OLED, FUIRTTiER, that notice of the passage of this re-
aolutio" be given as provided by au act of the Legislature of
27 the State of California, entitled, "ln act to provide for laying
out, opening, extending, widening, straighteLine, or closing up
28 in whole or in part any street, square, lane, alley, court,or
place within municipalities and to condemn and acquire any and
29 all. land and property necessary or convenient for that purpose."

30 that such notice be published as provided by said act in the
Redlands Daily Facts, a daily newspaper, published and cir-
31 culated in said City.

RESOLUTION CLOSING A PORTION OF MILL STREET AND CLOSING
THAT CERTAIN ALLEY LYING BETWEEN LOTS 16 TO 24 AND LOTS
10 TO 15 IN MCKINLEY HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION IN THE, CITY OF
REDLANDS.
NO. 553
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
that that portion of Mill Street in said City described
as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of
Mill. Street 40 feet North of the North line of Sacramento
Street, thence North 3Z degrees 40 minutes lest to the
South bine of bleat State Street, thence along said South
line of gest State Street to the East line of Mill Street,
thence along said East Line of Mill Street South to the
point of beginning; also that certain alley which runs
North and South in McKinley Heights Subdivision in said
City, lying between lots 16 to 24 and lots 10 to 15 in
said subdivision (reserving to the City of Redlands a
right of way for the construction, maintenance and
operation of pj*lie utilities in said alley) , BE AND THE
SAME ARE MY CLOSED, VACATED AND ABANDONED:
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that it appears to the City Council
of said city, that there are no costs, damages or expenses
occasioned, by or arising out of the closing of said streets
as aforesaid, and that no assessment is necessary to pay
any costs, damages or expenses for the same;
THEREFORE, no co miss-loners are appointed to asses the
benefits or damages for said work or to have supervision
thereof.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by said City Council at a regular meeting there-
of held on the 19th day of February, 1941.
