HomeMy WebLinkAbout2866_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 2866 RESOLUTION OF !NTENTTON TO VACATE PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REEL NDS DOES RESOLVE IS FOLLCUS : SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate portions of streets in the manner provided therein. SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of portions of certain streets described as fol- lows: Legal Description for vacating Portions of New York St. and Pine Ave. All those portions of New York Street and Pine Avenue in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California described as follows: All that portion of the Southeast one-quarter of Lot 25, Barton Ranch, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 6, Page 19 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of Lot 4 of Tract No. 6284, as per map recorded in Book 83, Pages 60 and 61 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County; Thence N. 100 22 ' 00" W. , along the Westerly boundary line of said Tract No. 6284, a distance of 30.48 feet to the centerline of Pine Avenue (formerly orange Avenue) , said centerline being the Southerly line of the Southeast one-quarter of said Lot 25; Thence N. 00 '12 ' 00" W. , continuing along said Westerly boundary line, a distance of 30.00 feet to a point in a line parallel with and 30.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the centerline of said Kne Avenue, said point being the Northwest corner of said Tract No. 6284 and also being the point of beginning of the parcel of land to be described; Thence N. 89048 ' 00" E. , along said parallel line also being the North- erly boundary line of said Tract No. 6284, a distance of 183 . 30 feet; Thence continuing Northeasterly along the boundary line of said Tract No. 6284, on a curve concave.to the Northwest, having a radius of 13.00 feet, through an angle of 90-32 ' 00" ( formerly recorded 90031 ' 15") an arc length of 20. 54 feet to a line parallel with and 32.00 feet West- erly, measured at right angles , from the centerline of New York Street, said centerline being the Easterly line of the Southeast one-quarter of said Lot 25; Thence N. 00044 ' 00.E W. , ( formerly recorded N. 00043 ' 15" W. ) , along said parallel line, a distance of 566. 72 feet to a point which bears S . 00 44 ' 00" E. , a distance of 50.00 feet, measured along said parallel line, from the intersection of said parallel line with the Mortherly Line of the Southeast one-quarter of said Lot 251 Thence S . 89050 ' 31"' W. , parallel with said Northerly line, a distance of 8.00 feet to the Westerly line of said New York Street, as shown on said map of Barton Ranch, said New York Street being a half street 40 . 00 feet wide; Thence S . 00044100" E. , along said Westerly line of New York Street, a distance of 569.84 feet to the Northerl line of Pine Avenue (for- merly Orange Avenue) , 80. 00 feet wide, as shown on said map of Barton Ranch; Thence S . 890 48 ' 00" W. , along said Northerly line of Pine Avenue, a distance of 620. 52 feet to the Westerly line of the Southeast one- quarter of Lot 25; Thence S . 00044 ' 05" E. , along said Westerly line, a distance of 10.00 feet to said line parallel with and 30.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the centerline of said Pine Avenue; Thence N. 89048' 0a" E. , along said parallel line, a distance of 432 . 10 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vaca- tion of the portions of the certain streets described herein is required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearing on the above-described street closing at 7:00 P.M. on the 16th day of March, 1.971 in the regular meeting place of the City Council, Redlands, California. SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this reso- lution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands, California.
