RESOLUTION NO. 4148
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
FINDING THAT PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS ARE UNNECESSARY FOR
PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE
VACATION OF SAID PORTIONS
STREET VACATION NO. 84
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains
and resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands,
having elected to proceed sander the provisions of Division 9 ,
Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, and having held a public hearing as
provided herein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted
that portions of certain streets described in this resolution
are unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes
and that the public interest and convenience require the
closing of said portions of certain streets. The City
Council hereby further finds that such vacation is consistent
with the City' s General Plan.
SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby carders the
vacation of portions of Kansas Street and grange Avenue as
described in Attachment "A. "
SECTION THREE; In the proceeding herein adopted by the
City Council for the vacation of portions of Kansa: Street
and Orange Avenue described in Attachment "A, " the City of
Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent
easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew
sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures,
in, upon, over and across any street or wart thereof proposed
to be vacated and pursuant to any exiting franchises or
renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain,
operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe,
conduits , cables , wires , poles and other convenient
structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas
pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and for the
distribution or transportation of electric energy, ammonia,
water and incidental purposes, including access and right to
keep property free from inflammable materials and wood
growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards
in, upon, and over the portion of the street proposed to be
vacated.

SECTIO FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that
the vacation of portions of Kansas Street and Orange Avenue
described herein. is required by public interest, convenience,
safety and welfare,
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 18th day of February,
1986.

A portion of Kansas Street and Orange Avenue as shown upon
the Map of the Barton Ranch per Map on file in Book 6 , of
Maps, at Page 19, thereof Records of San Bernardino County,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Parcel 2 of Parcel Map
229 as shown by map on file in Book 2 , of Parcel Maps, at
Page 89 thereof, Records of San Bernardino County, State of
California;
Thence N 00* 001 35" E, along the West line of the Southeast
quarter of the Southeast quarter of Lot 17 of Barton Ranch as
shown by map on file in Book 6, of Maps, at Page 19 thereof
Records of San Bernardino County, State of California, a
distance of 7 . 00 feet to the North line of Orange Avenue
(80.00 feet wide) ;
Thence S 890 271 00" E, along said North line a distance of
620 . 35 feet to the West line of Kansas Street ( 80 . 00 feet
wide) ;
Thence N 00�' 001 14" E, along the West line of Kansas Street,
a distance of 149 .32 feet to the South line of the Morey
Arroyo ( 80 . 00 feet wide) as shown upon map filed in the
Office of the San Bernardino County Surveyor as map number
C.S. 3641;
Thence S 690 511 12" E, along said South line a distance of
8 .52 feet, to a line parallel and distant 32 .00 feet Westerly
of the centerline of said Kansas Street;
Thence S 000 00 ' 14" W, along said parallel line of Kansas
Street a distance of 141.34 feet, to the beginning of a curve
concave to the Northwest having a radius of 13.00 feet;
Thence Southwesterly, along said curve, through a central
angle of 906 321 46" an arc length of 20.54 feet to a line
parallel and distant 32.00 feet Northerly of the centerline
of Orange Avenue;
Thence S 890 271 00" E, along said parallel line a distance
of 615.23 feet to a point on the Southerly prolongation of
the West line of said Southeast quarter of Lot 171
