RESOLUTION NO. 4211
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
FINDING THAT A PORTION OF A CERTAIN INTERSECTION IS UN-
NECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND
ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID PORTION (STREET VACATION NO.87)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains
and resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands,
having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9,
Part 3 , Chapter 2, of the streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, and having held a public hearing as
provided herein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted
that a portion of said intersection described in Exhibit "A"
(attached.) is unnecessary for present or prospective street
purposes and that the public interest and convenience require
the closing of a portion of said intersection. The City
Council hereby further finds that such vacation is
consistent with the City' s General Plan.
SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby carders the
vacation of a portion of said intersection described in the
attached Exhibit "A. "
SECTION THREE: in the proceeding herein adopted by this
City Council for the vacation of a portion of said
intersection described in the attached Exhibit "A. " the City
of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacations the
permanent easement and right at any time, or from time to
time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and
renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant
structures, in, upon, over and across any street or part
thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any exiting
franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct,
maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge Lines
of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other convenient
structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas
pipe lanes, telegraphic and telephone lines, and for the
distribution or transportation of electric energy, water and
incidental purposes, including access and right to keep
property free from inflammable materials and wood growth, and
to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and
over the portions of the streets proposed to be vacated.
SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that
the vacation of a portion of said intersection as described
in the attached Exhibit "A" herein is required by public
interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th day of January,
1987 .

terminus as recorded in Book 292, Parcel Mag No. 5763 , Page
31, San Bernardino County, thence north 00618131" east 60.00
feet along said west terminus line of Rancho Drive to the
north lane of said Rancho Drive, thence south 89641129" east
89.37 feet along said north line to the intersection of a 70
foot radius circular arc concave southeasterly, radial
bearing of south 30041137" east, thence southwesterly alone
said 70 foot radius arc 74.59 feet through a central angle of
61003100 " to the intersection with a 20 foot radius arc
concalve southwesterly, radial bearing of 20 foot arc being
south 29° 18122" , thence westerly along said 20 foot radius
arc west 10 .12 feet through a central angle of 28°59151" to
the terminus of said 20 foot radius arc being on the south
line of said Rancho Drive thence north 89° 41129" west 45.77
feet along said south line to the true point of beginning.
