RESOLUTION NO. 4643
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
FINDING THAT CERTAIN ALLEYS ARE UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR
PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID
ALLEYS (STREET VACATION NO. 96)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY" OF REDLANDS hereby ordains
and resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands,
having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9,
Part 3 , Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, and having held a public hearing as
provided herein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted
that said alleys described in Exhibit "A" (attached) are
unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and
that the public interest and convenience require the closing
of said alleys. The City Council hereby further finds that
such vacation is consistent with the City's General Plan.
SECTION TWO : The City Council hereby orders the
vacation of said alleys described in the attached Exhibit
"A."
SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by this
City Council for the vacation of a portion of said alleys in
the attached Exhibit "A." the City of Redlands reserves and
excepts from the vacations the permanent easement and right
at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain,
operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm
drains and appurtenant structures, in, upon, over and across
any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and
pursuant to any exiting franchises or renewals thereof, or
otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove,
renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits , cables , wires,
poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures
for the operation of gas pipe lines , telegraphic and
telephone lines, and for the distribution or transportation
f electric energy, water and incidental purposes, including
access and right to Deep property free from inflammable
materials and woad growth, and to otherwise protect the sage
from all hazards in, upon, and over the portions of the
alleys to be vacated.

SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that
the vacation of said alloys as described in the attached
Exhibit " A" herein is required by public interest ,
convenience, safety and welfare.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 15th of May, 1990 .

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF ALLEY TO BE VACATED EASTERLY OF EUREKA STREET AN0
SOUTHERLY OF COLTON AVENUE
That portion of ALLEY shown on Map of Tract No. 2033, as recorded in Book 30 of
Maps, Page 26, County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 11 in said Tract, said corner also being
on the West line of said Alley; thence EAST 10.00 feet to the East line of said Alley;
thence N 00 04' E along said East line 60.00 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 10
in said Tract; thence WEST along the South line of Lots 10, 9, 8, 7 and 6 in said
Tract a distance of 140.00 feet to the East line of Fureka Street (formerly First
Street); thence S 00 04' W 10.00 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 11; thence
EAST 120.00 along the North line of said Lot 11 to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave to the Southwest and having a radius of 10.00 feet; thence easterly and
southerly through a central angle of 900 04' an arc distance of 15.71 feet to a
tangent line, said line being the East line of said Lot 11; thence S 00 04' W 40.00
feet to the point of beginning.
