RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATF A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET
IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as follows :
SECTION ONE : The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9 , Parts
Chapter 2 of the Street and Highways Code of the State of
California and to vacate a portion of a street in the manner
provided therein ,
SECTION TWO : The City Council does hereby declare its intention
to order the vacation of a portion of New York Street described
as follows :
Being a portion of the East half of the Northeast one
quarter of Block 25 of the Barton Ranch , in the City of
Redlands , as per plat recorded in Book 6 of Maps , Page
19 . records of San Bernardino Couty , State of California
described as Follows :
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of New
York Street with the centerline of State Street as shown
on a map of Tract No . 94SS as recorded in Map Book 138 ,
Pages 7 & 8 , Records of San Bernardino County , California
thence along the centerline of New York Street S 00 43 '
15" E 50 . 35 feet , thence S 890 16 ' 45" W 32 . 00 feet to
the True Point of Beginning thence S 00 431 15" E 609 , 34
feet , Vence -A-110—STAT"A 8 . 00 feet ; thence N 00 43 '
IS" W 620 . 02 feet thence S 890 511 33" W 14 . 46 feet to a
point on a non-tangent curve concave Southeasterly and
having a radius of 188 . 00 feet , a radial line through
said point bears S 160 54 ' 55" E ; thence Northeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 10 581 43" an
arc length of 6 . 49 feet to a point of reverse curvature
on a curve concave Southwesterly and having a radius of
13 . 09 feet , a radial line through said point bears S 140
561 12" E ; thence. Southeasterly along said curve through
a central angle of 1040 121 S7" an arc length of 23 . 65
feet to the True Point of_ Begij;iyg.
Said parcel contains an area of 0 . 114 acres .
SECTION THREE : The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of the portion of New York Street described above , is
required by public interest , convenience , safety and welfare .
SECTION FOUR : The map setting the particulars of the proposed.
street vacation shall be on file in the of0ce of the Department
of Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacations .
SECTION FIVE : The City Council hereby fixes the time and date
and place of Public Hearing on the street closing at 7 : 00 P .M.
on the 18th day of April, 1978, in the regular meeting place of
the City Council , Redlands , California.
SECTION SIX : Within fifteen days after its passage , this resolu-
tion shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts , a newspaper
of general circulation published and circulated in the City of
Redlands , California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 23rd day of March, 1978.
