HomeMy WebLinkAbout3502_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 3502 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as fol- lows : SECTION ONE : The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chap- ter 2, of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California and to vacate a portion of a street in the manner provided therein. SECTION TWO : The City Council does hereby declare its inten- tion to order the vacation of a portion of Palm Avenue described as follows : A portion of Palm Avenue (100 feet wide) , 50 feet on either side of the centerline of said Palm Avenue, as shown on a Boundary Survey shown on Tract No. 6908 recorded in Book 87 of Maps, Pages 99-101, in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino, State of California, said centerline described as follows : Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Citrus Avenue, with the centerline of Palm Avenue; thence south 56018155" west, 1116.96 feet to its intersection with the southerly prolongation with the easterly boundary line of said Tract No. 6908. Excepting therefrom that portion within Ford Street right-of-way and also excepting therefrom that portion within Citrus Avenue right-of-way. SECTION THREE : The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of the portion of Palm Avenue described above is required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public works and available for inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearing on the street closing at 7 :00 P.M. on the 20th day of June, 1978, in the regular meeting place of the City Council, Redlands, California. SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this resolution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a news- paper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands, California.
