RESOLUTION OF INTENTION" TO VACATE A PORTION
OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLAN'DS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of .Redlands hereby elects
to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, of the
Street and Highways Cade of the State of California and to vacate a por-
tion of a street in the manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare .its intention
to order the vacation of a portion of Stanford Street described as fol-
lows :
That portion of Stanford Street between Lot 53 and Lot 52 from
the westerly prolongation of the South line of said Lot 52 to
the westerly prolongation of the North line of said Lot 52 as
shown on the University Tract recorded in Book 17 of Maps, Page
36, in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino,
State of California.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation
of the portion, of a certain street described herein is required by public
interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SEC'T'ION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of the proposed street
vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of Public. Works
and available for inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the
proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fres the time and date and
place of Public Hearing on the street closing at 7:00 P.M. on the 21st
day of November, 1978, in the regular meeting place of the City Council,
Redlands, California.
SECTION SIX: Within .fifteen days after its passage, this resolution
shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general
circulation published and circulated in the City of Redlands, California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this October 31st, 1978.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR VACATION OF STANFORD STREET
TRACT 10356
That portion of Stanford Street as shown on the University
4 Tract in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of
S California,' as per map, recorded in Book 17 of Maps. Page 36,
6 Records of said County, generally described as the westerly
7 one-half of Stanford Street, abutting Lot 53, and more specifically
described as follows.
Beginning at a point at the intersection of the centerline
10 of Judson Street and Lugonia Avenue, said point being the east
11 quarter corner of Section 23, Township 1 South, Range 3 West,
12 San Bernardino Base and Meridian;
13 Thence North 890 59' 3011 West, 2,639.37 feet to a point as
14 shown on Tract 5378, Book 68, Page 36 of maps of said County,
15 Isaid point being the intersection of the centerline of Lugonia
16 Avenue and Stanford Street;
17 Thence South 00 04' 45" East, 33.00 feet to the True Point
18 of Beginning, said point lying at the intersection of the center-
19 Iline of Stanford Strect and 4 prolongation of the southerly right-
20 of-way line of Lugonia Avenue, 66.00 wide;

22 627.00 feet to a point in the centerline

25 Ilot line of Lot 53 of said University Tract,
26 Thence South 890 261 28" West, 33.00 feet to a point; said
27 �point being the southeast corner of Lot 53 of said University
28 Tract;
29 Thence North 00041 45" West, 627.00 feet along the easterly
30 line of Lot 53 of said University Tract to the northeast corner of
31 said lot;
32 Thence North 890 26' 49" East, 33.00 feet along the prolongatioi
33 of the northerly line of Loll 53 to the True Point of Beginning.
