A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION
OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as fol-
lows :
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chap-
ter 2, of the Street and Highways Code of the State of California
and to vacate a portion of a street in the manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO : The City Council does hereby declare its inten-
tion to order the vacation of a portion of Redlands Street described
as follows :
That portion of Redlands Street (70 feet wide) 35 feet
on either side of the centerline as shown on Map of East
Redlands recorded in Book 7 of Maps, Page 47, in the
office of the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino,
State of California, said centerline described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northeasterly
prolongation of the southeasterly right-of-way line
of Highland Avenue with the centerline of Redlands Street;
thence northwesterly along said centerline of Redlands
Street to its intersection with the centerline of Citrus
Avenue.
Excepting therefrom that portion within Citrus Avenue and
also excepting therefrom that ,portion within Highland
Avenue.
SECTION THREE : The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of the portion of Redlands Street described above is required
by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the proposed
street vacation shall be on file in the office of the Department of
Public Works and available for inspection by persons interested in
or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE : The City Council hereby fixes the time and date
and place of Public Hearing on the street closing at 7 :00 P.M. on
the 20th day of June, 1978, in the regular meeting place of the City
Council, Redlands, California.
SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this
resolution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a news-
paper of general circulation published and circulated in the City
of Redlands, California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of June, 1978.
