RESOLUTION CLOSING A PORTION OF ROOSEV"ELT ROAD, and a CERTAIN ALLEY
ON THE SOUTHERN BOUNDARY OF FAIRVIEW TRACT No. 4. WITHIN THE CITY OF
REDLANDS , and ORDERING THE WORK.
WHEREAS , theFCity Council. of the City of Redlands did on the
17th day of July 1951, duly pass and adopt Resolution o:" Intention, 1,
Resolution No. f��7 , declaring the intention tib' said C3tly CourMca1 to order
the closing of that: certain portion of Roosevelt Road, and a certain Alley
on the Southern Boundary of F&Irview Tract No. 4, nrticula_rly described
as follows! That portion oaf Roese�velt: Road extend ng from the alley, on
the Southern boundary of Fair°view Tract I umber 4 , produced Westerly across
Roosevelt Road, to the northerly line of Beacon Street , also that said
alley, on the Southern Boundary of Fairview Tract, Number 4, for its entire
length of 630 feet , and
WHEREAS, Notices of Improvement , stating the fact of the passage of
said Resolution, its date and the work and improvement proposed , and
referring to said Resolution of :intention for further particulars, have
been published and pasted in the manner provided by law, and the said
City Council has acquired ,jurisdiction to order said work to be done, and
the said street and alley closed.,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of
Redlands does hereby order the ci sin
g up of all that portion of
ROOSEVELT ROAD , and a Certain Alley on the Southern Boundary of Fairview
Tract No. k, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of
California, particularly described as follows:
That portion of Roosevelt Road extending from the alley , can the
Southern boundary of Fairview Tract Number 4, produced 'Westerly across
Roosevelt !load, to the Northerly line of Beacom Street ,
Also
That said alley, on the Southern Boundary of Faf r view Tract Number
for its entire length of 630 feet.
BE IT - FURTMER RESOLVED that no assessment is necessary to pay the
damages , coats and expenses of said viork and improvement.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted by the
City Council of the City of Redlands , at a regular meeting thereof held
on the 18th day of Januar', 1955 , by the following vote, to-wit:
ATFS • Councilmen 4sbun, Morlan, Homo, Anderson and Mayor Elkins.
