RESOLUTION NO. 6873
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT
A PORTION OF SHARON STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR
PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION
OF SHARON ROAD (STREET VACATION NO. 149); THAT HOLLY LANE IS
UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND
ORDERING THE VACATION OF HOLLY LANE (STREET VACATION NO. 150); THAT A
PORTION OF SIXTH STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE
STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF SIXTH
STREET(STREET VACATION NO. 151); AND THAT A PORTION OF DELAWARE
STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES
AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF DELAWARE AVENUE (STREET
VACATION NO. 152)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands, having elected to proceed
under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all
evidence submitted that: Sharon Road, located generally north of Lugonia Avenue, east of Sixth
Street and south of Delaware Avenue; Holly Lane, located generally north of Lugonia Avenue,
east of Sixth Street and south of Delaware Avenue; a portion of Sixth Street from Lugonia
Avenue on the south to Delaware Avenue on the north; and a portion of Delaware Avenue from.
Orange Street on the west to its eastern terminus east of Sixth Street on the east, and as more
specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for
present or prospective public use and that the public interest and convenience require the
vacation of a portion of that Street.
SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of these Streets, or
portions thereof, described in the attached Exhibit "A."
SECTION THREE: This Resolution shall take effect upon the effective date of City of
Redlands Ordinance No. 2721.

Legal Description
Tentative Tract Map 18762 Street Vacations
Those portions of the Northeast Quarter of Section 22,Township I South, Range 3 West,
San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino,
State of California, more particularly described as follows:
Those portions of Tract No. 6414, in said City of Redlands, as per Plat recorded in Book
80 of Maps, Pages 32 and 33, records of said County, shown as Delaware Avenue, Holly
Lane, Sharon Road and Sixth Street.
Together with that portion of the South Half of the West Half of the West Half of the
Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 22,Township I South, Range 3
West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the City of Redlands, County of San
Bernardino, State of California, lying northerly of a line, parallel with and lying southerly
30 feet, measured at right angles, to the center line of Delaware Street, as located through
said property, on June 26, 1942, shown as Delaware Avenue on the Record of Survey
recorded in Book 4 , Page 51 of Records of Surveys in the Records of said San
Bernardino County, excepting the West 44 feet of said portion.
Also, together with those portions of the East Half of the West Half of the Southwest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 22,Township I South, Range 3 West, San
Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State
of California, shown as Delaware Avenue and Sixth Street on the Record of Sul-Vey
recorded in Book 4, Page 51 of Records of Surveys in the Records of said San
Bernardino County, lying southerly of the center line of Delaware Street as located
through said property, on June 26, 1942.
Containing: 144,708 Square Feet, or 3.322 Acres more or less.
