HomeMy WebLinkAbout2781_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO, 2781 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RED ANDS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION ONE: The City Council. of the City of Redlands hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Street and Highways Code of the State of Call-fornia and to vacate a por- tion of a street in the manner provided therein. SECTION TWO: The City Council. does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of a portion of a certain street described as follows: Legal Description for Vacating Portion of Shepherd Street That portion of the Northeasterly one-half- of Shepherd Street as shown on Smith ' s Subdivision No. 4, recorded in Book 15, Pages 87 and 88 of Maps, described as follows; Commencing at the intersection of Henrietta Street and Shepherd Street as shown on said Map,- thence South 120 20 ' East 213. 3 feet along the centerline of Shepherd Street to an angle point therein, said angle point also being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, thence South 680 20 ' East 843 .4 feet along said centerline to the inter- section of the centerline of Dwight Street as shown on said Map. Excepting therefrom the Westerly one-half of Dwight Street, 60 feet wide, as shown on said Map. Also excepting therefrom the Easterly one-half of that portion of Shepherd Street, 40 feet wide, shown on said Map as having a bearing of North 120 20 ' West and North 260 03 ' East, SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of the portion of the certain street described herein is required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare. SECTION FOUR: A map setting the particulars of -1the proposed street vacation shall be on file in the officof the Department of Public Works and available for -inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION FIVE.- The City Council hereby fixes the time and date and place of Public Hearing on the above described street closing at 7: 00 P.M on the 2nd day of Decem�ber, 1969 in the regular meeting place of the City Council, Redlands, California. SECTION SIX: Within fifteen days after its passage, this resolution shall be published in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation published and circuiated in the City of Redlands, California.
