RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN
STREET IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve as
follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands
hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of Division 9,
Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California to vacate a portion of a certain street
in the manner provided therein.
SECTION TWO: The City Council does hereby declare its
intention to order the vacation of a portion of Sophia Court,
as described in Exhibit "A" attached.
SECTION THREE: The City Council hereby determines that
a portion of said street is unimproved excess right-of-way;
therefore the vacation of a portion of said street as
described in Exhibit "A" may be required by public interest,
convenience, safety and welfare.
SECTION FOUR: The map setting the particulars of the
proposed street vacation shall be on file in the office of
the Engineering Services Department and available for
inspection by persons interested in or objecting to the
proposed vacation.
SECTION FIVE: The City Council hereby fixes the time,
date and place of the Public Hearing on the street closing at
7 :00 P.M. on the 20th day of September, 1988, in the regular
meeting place of the City Council, Redlands, California.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of September,
1988.
